and how I’m coping in the pandemic…
Does anyone else just feel “stuck”? Like you’re not sure what you should be doing with your time? I feel like I can trick myself into thinking everything is normal. Then I go to a store and get stopped by security to wait my turn to enter and I’m brought back to the new reality. I know I’m not the only one feeling this way, social media is flooded with posts about generally the same Situs Judi Slot. I’m still able to go to work, and my days off are either a little bit productive or not productive AT ALL! Haha. I am trying to make myself feel motivated but it is HARD!! How are all of you coping?
I’m trying hard to stay positive. Taking walks with my dog, he loves it and I love getting out in the fresh air. So grateful that it is spring and the weather for the most part is nice. I’ve been taking some photos because that brings me joy. I’ve also been watching (thanks Pam for the recommendation) a Rachel Hollis motivational “challenge”. Every week she speaks on a different topic to help you feel motivated and inspired, even when it’s really hard. I’m enjoying it and want to share it with anyone reading this as well (see the link below) The best part is it’s free!! I’m only on the second topic (week 2) but am trying to incorporate her ideas and suggestions into my daily life. Message me if you find it helpful. I’d love to know what everyone is doing to stay positive and not go stir crazy?!

I’ve also been shopping on line a bit too much (don’t tell my husband) 😉 . Actually mostly browsing, haha. I can’t wait to be able to step back into a retail store again! I feel like Winners and Home Sense are my first stops. haha.
I feel like no matter what “stage” everyone is in, if you’re headfirst into organizing and cleaning, binge watching everything on Netflix, eating everything in your cupboards, haha, or feeling like you’re barely holding on, that it is neither wrong nor right. As long as you remember to (as my Grandmother used to say) “take care a’ you”! Do a little something everyday that makes you feel good!
When social distancing started over a month ago, I had very high ideas that my house would be cleaned and organized in every inch. I would have lots of blog posts written and photos taken for all of those. Hahaha, I was so, so wrong. I’ve come to realize that I need a “deadline” of sorts in order to finish a project. With no visitors allowed over and with not being able to go to a store, I quickly became less and less motivated as the days went by. I’ve been drinking lots of coffee thinking I might be just “tired” haha, but that doesn’t seem to be the issue. But never hurts to check right? 😉 So I’ve decided that if I just do a couple of productive things in the run of the day, big or small, that that is good enough and try not to be too hard on myself.
I have done a bit of baking. I’ll share below a new cookbook that I bought just before the pandemic started. The recipes that I tried from it are all yummy!
I also try to get up relatively early, make sure I take my vitamins, try to eat protein with every meal, drink lots of water, face time and phone calls with family and friends. I’ve been saying for 5 weeks that I would exercise, (I’ve never been successful trying to exercise at home) haha…..I did join up for beach body, but have yet to do it. haha. Maybe tomorrow is the day…. 😉
I hope to have actual organizing and decorating posts to share soon 🙂 But in the mean time…
Stay safe and Wash Your Hands! 😉
