Spooktacular Halloween Cupcakes

Happy Halloween!!

You can bet when there is a holiday or special occasion and I have free time, I will be baking cupcakes for the occasion!!! Whether that’s the 10 year old in me or some of my Mother’s love for all things holiday or both I’m not sure haha.

I remember when I was a kid, rushing off the school bus on Halloween to see what cake or creation Mom had decorated while we were at Situs Judi Slot Gacor. It wasn’t necessarily fancy but simple and captured the spirit of the day!

A few years ago I made a few cupcakes and gave them out as a treat on Halloween to some of the kids that lived close and I knew well. Then last year I decided to give them out to all the trick or treaters!

This year I shopped at amazon and found individual cupcake “sleeves” and boxes that I thought were cute. I also bought some candy sprinkles as well.

These black cut out “sleeves” that wrap around the base of the cooked cupcake I thought were in the spirit of the holiday. There were several designs in the package, ghosts, witches, pumpkins, bats, spider webs, leaves… (Don’t put them in the oven). They come flat and you just join the edges together and drop the cupcake in.

The boxes were plain enough to be used for other holidays or individual treats for other occasions. They were a bit time consuming to put together. But makes carrying a cupcake back out to the vehicle easier. Plus Mom or Dad waiting in the car usually gets sent one as well 😉

Don’t put the cupcakes in the sleeves until you do this next step. haha I had put them all in then needed to take them all back out. I made a double batch of frosting and colored half of it purple. Made a quick circle around the edge of the cupcake.

Coated the frosting in sprinkle candy…..

Just a bit of a swirl of white icing on top and a toothpick cutout.

Voila! Spooktacular cupcakes.
