Perfect for Saint Patrick’s Day!
If you know me well, or at all really, you know I love a good reason for a rtp slot. Haha, any day is a good day for one though right? 😉
These might look a little intimidating, but they aren’t, I swear!
When I make vanilla cupcakes I almost always use the same recipe, it’s from a link I found a long time ago on Situs Slot Gacor Pinterest so I can’t take the credit for it. It’s super easy and yummy, makes 24 cupcakes. I’ll include the link for them at the bottom of this post. If making cupcakes from scratch isn’t your thing, the Betty Crocker vanilla box mix is yummy too 😉
You could add green food colouring to the mix to make it fun.
I’m going to list the items and colors that I’m using, but when doing anything creative, it’s always better to think outside the box so experiment and use what you have at home. I always use a gel food coloring as it doesn’t add extra liquid to whatever recipe you’re making slot gacor.
Items I’m using
- disposable piping bag, and a disposable pipping bag for each of the colors of icing you choose (I had 7 in total)
- 1M pipping tip (looks like a large star)
- you will also need Saran Wrap and scissors
- food color in your chosen colors (I used red, orange, golden yellow, Kelly green, royal blue and violet).
- a bowl for every color of food coloring
- decoration for the top if you like, I’m using a gold foil wrapped chocolate coin (found at Bulk Barn)
I’ll also include the recipe for my buttercream icing. Sooooo yummy!
Depending on how many colors you want to use in the rainbow you might need to make more than 1 batch of icing. I made a batch and 1/2 and had a little left over.
Buttercream Icing
- 1 1/2 cups of soft butter (mixed with hand or stand mixer until it’s really soft and lightens in color) then add…
- 4 1/2 cups of icing sugar
- 3 tablespoons of cream (I used 18% coffee cream)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla
If you’re making cupcakes for adults you could substitute the cream for baileys 🙂
Start by separating the icing into bowls in however many colors you decide to make.
Then place each icing color in it’s own bag.
Place a piece of Saran Wrap on the counter and using each color of icing, pipe lines of each color beside each other.
Then wrap the Saran Wrap around so the icing is all contained inside and it looks like this. Twist both ends of the saran wrapped icing. Cut the bottom twist with scissors like the photo below.
Then place it in an empty piping bag with the cut side down.
Hold the piping bag on a 90 degree angle from the cupcake and make a couple of even swirls and it should look like this. You will need to use the Saran Wrap technique a couple of times and use a clean piece of it each time.
I added these gold chocolate coins (found at Bulk Barn)
