Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, Sunday, May 12th to be exact!

I feel like it’s such a special day, to not only celebrate your own Mom’s but motherhood in general. I haven’t been blessed with little ones of my own, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love to celebrate the holiday and spoil the special women in my own life. What a great opportunity to send a small gift to someone special in YOUR life and let them know that they are appreciated and loved! Whether it be your Mom, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, or Friend. It lets them know you’ve thought of them, and (I know it makes ME feel special when someone brings me a thoughtful gift).

(Am I)? haha There is something though about browsing through a bookstore, opening and breathing in the scent of a new book though isn’t there? Books and candles are a bit of a shopping addiction habit. 🙂 This is my newest purchase that I can see myself reading on the front step, once the weather gets warmer!

But thought it would be a cute idea to do as a family. Reading the book together and then planting a small garden or a few vegetables or flowers with the little ones in your life. Its a story about how they started their own gardens years ago and what they learned along the way.

Bath and Body works is also a place I love to get small, inexpensive gifts. The hand soaps and candles smell soooo yummy! When the weather changes from Winter to Spring, I’m all about the fresh, clean scents, and Bath and Body Works never disappoints! If you are not in the store and order on line, make sure you are on the Canadian site and check your order to make sure it’s Canadian before you purchase.
