Happy Friday!! What’s everyone’s plans for the weekend? I’m meeting up with some couples for some fun photo shoots! Hopefully the weather cooperates!
How is this the last weekend of September?! I’m not even sure where the Summer went, let alone September! I had planned to blog A LOT during the summer haha, but ended up using my days off, relaxing with a book/reading blogs/taking photos for families/editing photos/outings with friends/ordering too many things on-line 😉 so many fun things, that I ended up not taking the time to write any of the blog posts I had in mind. oops! 😀
So, for a person that needs order in my life, (hard at times with shift work) I’m trying to come up with some kind of schedule or routine for posts. I’m thinking of a recipe a week and, if not every week, hopefully every second week, to share “Friday Favorites”! Just a few things, I’ve bought or tried recently that I’m loving. I’m thinking for now that they could be almost any category. But as I post some I might change that up a bit. I still have many other posts in mind but they all require me to organize or decorate something, which takes time haha, so they will come in time. 😉
What are some things you would like to see? You can leave a message at the bottom of the post, with some ideas! 🙂
Today there are only two favorites: the first is feeding my candle addiction haha. I follow and read many blogs, most of them just happen to be based in the US and there were a few of them who raved about these soy based candles from a small company in Indiana. So, true to my nature, I had to try them 😉 I first ordered them in late Winter and purchased a couple of scents for every day, as well as a couple for Christmas (haven’t tried the Christmas ones yet). Then with fall coming there was a brand new scent that sounded sooooo delicious, I decided to order that one too. And it smells to die for! My sister said they were the best candles she’s ever smelled! They are soy based, the smell is not overpowering, It’s soft and subtle, but does still spread the scent throughout the room. They burn for a long time, so while they did end up costing me a small fortune because of the dollar exchange and duty (don’t tell my husband) haha, for a person with a bit of a candle addiction, they were worth it. I’ll post the website link https://antiquecandleco.com/
They also sell wholesale, so that was something I thought about! Would anyone purchase them from me if I were to order some? (I’m probably the only one who thinks of weird things like that) haha.
Another favorite “thing” I’ve tried recently is a new red wine. If I’m home in the evening, you can guaranty there is a glass of red wine in my hand 😉 My favorite is a Cabernet-Sauvignon blend. I love the depth of the flavors (is that a thing) haha. What I do know, is they are dry and flavorful, (and relaxing) 😉 I browse the shelves of our local Liquor Store for new ones to try and this was a new one they had on a recent visit that caught my eye. If you like dry red wine, I recommend giving this one a try. 🙂 Friday night is a perfect night to relax with a glass.
My husband popped in while I was writing this and thought he should be included in my Favorite Things (insert eye roll)… so I guess my third favorite “thing” (in no particular order) ;), is my husband. haha
Have a wonderful weekend!
