Can you all believe that Halloween is next week?! How on earth has that happened?? It feels like we were relaxing at the beach last week!! (I’m a bit late with this post but better late than never right? LOL Story of my life)!
First off, lets pretend that I was not a lazy gardener and pretend that I weeded my flower beds at least once since last spring! oops! I had planned on pulling out some of the plants and replanting with something different as the cedar trees have got a lot bigger a lot quicker than I thought/planned. There were 4 of them but I convinced my husband to start pulling them out (he’s half finished) Looks like that will be a post for next Spring 😉
The steps, pillars, stone and door frame are also all new as of this summer as well, which is another reason I didn’t get to the flower beds. 😉 (I’ll blame it on that anyways)!

I love the look of chrysanthemums in the fall. I was initially looking for purple and white ones but every time I went to the local pumpkin/vegetable stand there was never any white ones there. I think the yellow ones actually look prettier on the porch than the white ones would have. So I ended up buying 2 of the darker purpley ones and 2 yellow ones.

Again…use your imagination…. see the beautiful flower beds? haha
The greenery in the tall planters were left over from my summer planters. ( I don’t remember what they were called, it was the first time I bought them) I pulled out the summer annuals that were past their prime and left the green ones because they were still doing well, despite not having been watered for a while. Then I replanted the purple ones into the tall planters and set the yellow ones out just in their original planters.

Added a few pumpkins and voila! Fall front porch all for less than $50. I have a wreath for the front door too but forgot all about it until just this minute. haha.

Front door color is Wyeth Blue from Benjamin Moore. There will be a post, probably early next Spring, on the new front porch/pillars with info/links on supplies.
Thanks for stopping by!
