It’s only a few days until Halloween, but who else is like me and starts thinking about Christmas as soon as the leaves start to turn color? I know I’m not the only one! In October is usually when I start thinking about where to place all the pretty trees, garland, wreaths and all things Christmas. I think I’ve always been that way. It must be a trait I inherited from my Mother lol and on line shopping is a little hobby of mine 😉 can anyone relate?
I thought I would share some of the things I’ve had my eye on. I did buy a few new items already. These gold candlesticks and bells are from Canadian Tire and I’ve already bought both. I have some battery operated candles that I will share soon. If you live local and like antiques, Cascumpec General Store Antiques And Collectables (follow their Facebook page) is a cute little spot on the Cascumpec road, he is opening again for Christmas on November 6th until a few days before Christmas. I plan on checking there for some antique or unique candleholders. He thought he might have some for the holidays 🙂

I’ll start with the item I’ve been eyeing the most! GARLAND! I wanted to buy a real look garland for a few years, I took the plunge this year and bought 3 from https://www.afloral.com/pages/christmas-greenery I will definitely be sharing those when they come! I hope they are worth the price! This isn’t the exact one I bought but it looks beautiful and it got 5 stars on Amazon 🙂 The link is for this Amazon one in the photo. https://amzn.to/3UnPjJO
My eyes, my eyes!! I’m in love with this gorgeous wreath and it is a great price (under $30) I have it in my Amazon cart and may buy it yet. The reviews though say it’s not quite as big as the description. Would look beautiful on a large mirror, above a mantel, on a closet door, or if you had double doors, one on each door for a bigger impact, just a few ideas.Wreath https://amzn.to/3UqIK98 I may also just make a few smaller wreaths with real boughs, let me know if a tutorial about that is something you might like.
The last few years I have been seeing velvet ribbon on instagram and Pinterest. This one is also in my Amazon cart 😉 You could cut it to make bows with longer tales to add to your tree, or use it to embellish your stockings hung on the mantle, or add it to a wreath. Ribbon https://amzn.to/3YKn3Cz
If you like adding a special touch to Christmas gifts, these 3 colours are so pretty and neutral. Or if you like a more neutral decor, you could use these colours instead of the burgundy that’s posted above. https://amzn.to/4fmV81Q
There is just something about trees with a bit of snow. If you have a gallery wall in your home or like to change out a couple of the year round prints in your home for some seasonal ones, this one looks like a cozy Christmas scene but could be left out all winter.https://amzn.to/3UobEqz Snowy tree print
Adding a seasonal pillow to a couple of places in your home will bring another layer of cozy. https://amzn.to/3NHXtIX
I had my eye on bells like this for a few years, I bought some last Christmas and loved them. I had them hanging in the centre of a wreath on the door, then every time the door opened, they would jingle. They would also be beautiful on the end of a mantle with a garland. https://amzn.to/4e43las
Wooden Christmas trees, would look so pretty on a fireplace or a coffee table, beside a scented candle and a large vase filled with greenery. These are already sold out 🙁 but here are a couple of similar. https://amzn.to/4fpfckb https://amzn.to/3YFHdyp
Here is some Christmas inspiration from a few years ago in the link below. I have lots more ideas to share over the next couple of months, as well as some gift guides so be sure to come back. Let me know if there are things you want to see on here.
